Mishka’s babies are thriving – they all have their eyes open and are starting to explore around the whelping pen. It’s fun to watch them move around and get strong on their little feet. I can’t wait for their little personalities to start shining through.
Time always flies so fast when these guys start to move around and play. They are now climbing little groups of stairs and playing tug of war with each other. They eat with enthusiasm and snuggle like pros. I find them just delightful. There is nothing like the fun of raising beagle puppies.
Enjoy photos of them on my blue chair – I always think this is my favorite set each time as it really showcases them.
Nellie is doing a wonderful job as mom to her cavalier king charles puppies. They are all double their birth weight plus extra and I love to see them thriving so much. It is encouraging for sure.
Their eyes are starting to peep open and so I am sure they will be able to fully see in the next few days.
I love them so so much and can’t wait for their little personalities to start to come to life
I couldn’t be prouder – this weekend, my co-breeder/co-owner and good friend Chelsea, along with stud dog owner Terri took two dogs that Chelsea and I bred together into a “breeders showcase”. This is where as a breeder, you can show off your breeding program. It just so happened that the two dogs entered were littermates from our Spencer x Puddin litter.
BISS Kazuri N Van-Mar Trouble at Tiffanys “Audrey”
& GCH Kazuri N Van-Mar Trouble In Texas “Tex”
The judge was breeder judge Mrs Heather Lindberg and she gave our kids a Hound Group 2!! WOW!! Talk about such an honor amongst some top Hound breeders in the country.
We are so so thrilled for this honor. Thank you to Terri and Dan for Spencer’s semen, Helen & Leigh for Pud and to Chelsea for being such a supportive and fantastic breeding partner. I am beyond proud!!
Mishka’s babies are thriving and we got to bring them home. They are chubby and content and so wonderful. I am so glad this litter has been so easy. I took updated pictures – there are some cute pups in this bunch thats for sure.
The babies continue to explore and get more and more confident in their surroundings – they love to play outside and we love to watch them – the growls, the rough and tumble – it doesn’t get much better.
we are starting to really look at them and wonder which might be potential show puppies or amazing pets. Stay tuned as we work through all of it 🙂
Mishka’s babies are strong and healthy and I got to visit them for a bit today. we took photos and did dew claws – they are so cute. My mom (from NZ) held the pups for me.
Enjoy the babies – the litter theme is Barbie – feels relevant 🙂
I am so so happy to say that this time, Nellie’s babies are thriving. We have had no sign of diarrhea and they are steadily gaining weight. Nellie keeps them spotlessly clean and I am so happy to have such a cruisy cavalier litter. Fingers crossed it continues
We decided to base the litter theme on the little guy with the “pants” on his legs – they remind me of Mickey Mouse’s pants with the little buttons. So, without further ado, here are the babies
Miss Mishka was due the same week as Nellie. With all the complications Nellie’s babies had last time, I wanted to make a plan just in case. We also have family here from NZ and I knew my attention would be divided anyway.
So, I asked my friend Jamie if she would whelp Mishka’s litter. She agreed and I was so thankful.
Mishka had a long stage 1 nesting and resting. Jamie didnt get much sleep. I felt so bad.
Finally, in the evening at 8:15pm she popped out baby #1 – pink collar girl – 7.83oz
at 8:43pm came a 7.55oz boy she gave the blue collar to.
At 9.28pm came another boy who was 8.93oz. He got the red collar
While she was pushing the next one out, she started to vigorously clean the other puppies and accidently opened the stomach of blue boy. It was not intentional and happens sometimes, but it meant he wouldn’t survive long term and we chose to humanly euthanize him.
Puppy 4 was born in the chaos of that, a girl at 10:20pm – 8.13oz – miss purple
Puppy 5 was born at 12.22am – another boy- a big 10.85 oz pup and he got orange.
Puppy 6 was born at 2.05am – another girl who was 9.18oz and she got green.
The 5 remaining are thriving under Jamie’s care and I am so happy. <3
Echo’s babies are fully weaned and trying hard to be independent. They are so cute as they are getting bolder at exploring the yard and trying new ways of playing. I love hearing their little growls
Enjoy the photos of them playing outside today- it has been unseasonably hot and we arent letting them out too long as we dont want them to overheat. They sure have fun though.
