Violet is a great mom and is keeping them clean and very well fed – we like chunky babies. So now is the time to introduce our sweet babies one by one to the world.
PICKLES (Kazuri’s Gonna Be A Big Dill) garnered her 2nd and 3rd majors from the puppy classes, in only 2 weekends of showing, for a total of 12 points, I am guessing she will be finished before we know it.
On Saturday, she went WB/BOW/BOS over a special for a 5 point major under judge Erika N Wyatt.
On Sunday she went WB for a 3 point major under judge Ms Marilyn L Van Vleit.
Pickles was bred by Sarah Sweetman and is co-owned/loved by herself and Sarah Smith-Falkner.
Vada Potato is from Willow and Murphy and is 4.5 months. We had a show in Albany and they were hosting 3 days of “BPUP” for the 4-6 month old puppies which is a low key fun way for them to see what this showing thing is all about.
The judges Mr John Mayhall, Ms Annella Cooper and Mrs Donna M Gilbert were so loving and sweet and gave all the puppies such a great experience.
Vada (Kazuri N Joyful Noise Sunshine On A Cloudy Day) aka Potato took everything in her stride – she moved beautifully and held her stack on the table and group despite all the sight and sounds of the other rings. I couldn’t be prouder as a breeder and owner of this sweet smart little girl.
She won Hound Group 1 all 3 days and showed her socks off (no win) in “best puppy”.
These photos were taken from videos so please excuse the quality.
Ozzy came into his first show of 2025 needing 2 majors and 8 points total (so if he got 3 point majors he would have needed a couple of singles too).
Knowing there would be potential majors in Albany OR, I entered Ozzy hoping he might be able to garner those points and finish.
Well – finish he did. I asked for Cheyenne Calvert’s help since I can’t take 2 dogs in the ring at the same time so I am thankful for her.
The first day, under judge Ms Rhonda DeSilva, Ozzy went WD/BOW/BOV for a 5 point major. Talk about crazy amazing. He then made the final 6 cut in Hound Group under judge Mrs Christine Erickson – from the classes!
The second day he went WD for another 2 points under judge Erika N Wyatt. On Sunday he went WD/BOW for his final major to finish under judge Ms Marilyn L Van Vleit.
Talk about so proud. Our first Kazuri CH for 2025. CH Kazuri N Joyful Noise Just Over The Rainbow
Congratulations to his “mommy” Tesla and co-breeder/co-owner Dolly
There is a new team on the horizon – Sarah and Nick’s (MBIS MBISS GCHP Kazuri’s All I Want For Christmas CGC TKN ATT BCAT)
Co-breeders/Co-owners Mike and Karen Kurtzner did a beautiful job training and conditioning this sweet boy and taking his to heights I can only dream of.
Because they have another girl Lolli that they are showing right now (and we are cheering for), Nick has come for a temporary vacation in Washington so I can show him. Mike and Karen have been so supportive and I am thankful as I know they miss him very much.
My goal for 2025/26 is to get him to his Double Platinum It’s a lofty goal but we are up for the challenge.
I want to thank all of the judges who gave him Best In Show wins, Group placements and Specialty wins.
Our first 2025 litter is so special and was born on Valentines day. <3 Can you believe it?
This is a litter co-bred by myself and Dolly from Joyful Noise beagles in Spokane WA. She was a true gem and whelped this litter which i anxiously awaited as we had a snow storm on the pass and it wouldn’t have been safe for me to get there. (and in hindsight I would have never made it in time).
Violet and Denver did so good and gave us 5 bonny babies – 2 girls and 3 boys. I will introduce them all properly in a bit.
For now, mommy and babies are doing awesome. We are so so thankful.
These photos were taken in the snow the other day, and cracked me up – they are actually great friends and get along very well.
in this moment, Callie was howling at Nick for having a ball that she wanted and he kept looking at me like “what is her problem mom?” LOL. And tenny puppy Glinda was like “Im staying out it” ๐
Did i ever tell you I love beagles? Life is just never dull with these merry little hounds around
I couldn’t be more proud of these two boys who have both earned an invite to Westminster Kennel Club.
WKC is not the largest dog show in the USA, but holds a tradition of being one of the oldest dog shows in the USA having it’s first show debut on May 8, 1877. There is a certain pride breeders and handlers get from their dog placing at WKC.
An interesting fact is that the The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is one of a handful ofย benched showsย in the United States. This means that all of the dogs are required to be on display at their assigned show benches during the entire show except for when they are shown in the ring, being groomed, or taken outside to potty. This type of display allows spectators and breeders alike to have an opportunity of seeing all the entered dogs, ask questions and put their hands on some of the best quality dogs in the country.
2025 we have a 15 inch dog and 13 inch dog going in beagles.
TEX (15 inch) – MRBISOH BISS GCHG Kazuri N Van-Mar Trouble in Texas – (By BISS CH Ha-Penny’s Too Much Trouble x AUS CH Karakush Proof Is Inth Pudding). Bred-by and Owned by Chelsea Metteer & Sarah Sweetman and co-owned by Hillary Arnaud
MURPHY (13 inch) – RBIS BISS GCHG Kazuri’s Everything’s Gonna Be Alright – (By CH Bill T’s August Rush To Alpenglow x CH Kazuri’s Everything’s Coming Up Roses). Bred-by Sarah Sweetman & Mike and Karen Kurtzner and co-owned by Sarah Sweetman, Sarah Sweetman
I love the snow much more than the cold and wet we so often get in the PNW. The beagles and golden just love the snow too – its so sweet to watch them playing chase, finding sticks and just enjoying themselves out there.
I know it wont last long here in Seattle, so we will enjoy it while we can.
Enjoy the photos of them all – the 12 week old babies in the coats are Kiwi (blue-almost going to his new home) and Elphaba (colored) and Glinda (red).

I couldn’t be prouder of Tex and Chelsea and the start they have had to the 2025 show season. They are such a great team and I am cheering them on as they prepare to show at the prestigious Westminster Kennel club.
At the San Fernando Kennel Club they received Two NOHS Reserve Best in Shows and a regular hound Group 3rd. Thank you judges Shindle and Robinson… Be sure to scroll to the last to see Chelsea’s son Ronin’s adorable self in the last photo!
