Oh my gosh – I am so thrilled to announce that Audrey won BISS in California today (and her littermate Tex went BOS)
BISS GCH. Kazuri N Van-Mar Trouble At Tiffany’s “Audrey”
(BISS CH. Ha-Penny’s Too Much Trouble x Karakush Proof Is InTh Pudding) (AUS)
Thank you again breeder judge Mr. Peerapong Pisitwuttinan for this memorable win. Congratulations to Audrey’s breeders Sarah Sweetman and Chelsea Metteer and especially to Terri Papagni-Carter and Dan Carter for the win of your girl!! We couldn’t be more proud.
What an amazing weekend of fun, and friendship – thank you John and Dolly for your hospitality and Brianna, Ruthie, Jonah, Hannah, Tina, Lorna and Sam for all the amazing conversations, laughs and camaraderie.
Spokane kennel club didn’t disappoint with large spacious grooming spaces, great vendors, and amazing prizes given to the beagle winners! We won 2 gift baskets – woop woop. Thank you so much!
I was proud of my beagle crew – yes it was a very busy weekend .
Buck (15) (Kazuri’s Call of the Wild) went reserve both days.
Johnny (15) (Joyful Noise N Kazuri’s Keeping Up with the Roses) went WD on Saturday.
Audrey (15) (Rosehounds Brown Eyed Girl at Kazuri) went WB/BOW on Saturday.
Willow (15) (Kazuri’s Cover Me In Sunshine) went Select both days for a major towards her Grand.
Maxim (15) (GCH Kazuri’s Rockin The Naughty List at Roylcrest) went BOS Saturday and BOV on Sunday finishing his GCH and working on his bronze.
And in cavaliers, Stevie (Kazuri’s You Are the Sunshine Of My Life) went BOB on Saturday and reserve winners Sunday. (darn he just needs one major to finish – LOL)
My little cavalier puppy Piper (Kazuri’s Play Me Another Love Song) went WB from the BBE class Sunday for her first points and only her 2nd time showing – we unfortunately missed ring time by minutes Saturday as I was in the beagle ring.
I don’t have photos of the dogs but I did of the amazing gift baskets we won with the beagles – thank you Dolly Stearns for putting those amazing gifts together lol.
I also, wanted to introduce (officially) the newest member of the Kazuri family – Gentry – bred by Katarzyna and imported from Poland, and co-owned by Rose Kee.
“Prince Polo Krolewska Zgraja” aka Gentry
He had his debut in the 4-6 puppy classes this weekend and got a Bpup Hound group 4 yesterday and a Bpup Hound group 1 today! I am so proud of him and can’t wait for him to get Into the official ring next month when he turns 6 months. Thank you Kelly for showing him for us!!
Sylvie’s babies are growing stronger every day. They have started to make little growls and howls and play with each other and the toys in their puppy pen.
Just like the cavalier pups, I took photos of the girls in the basket and then they explored the garden for a while.
Sylvie’s girls are being very satisfied with momma and they are sleeping a lot. They have only just begun to get up of their bellies and onto their feet. I tried to give them solids, but decided they were too full. It took 4 or 5 tries before they started to take interest. very unusual for beagle puppies. LOL
Phoenix has now completely weaned her pups and they are independent – they love to play and explore the gardens outside and chase the bigger dogs. I love this cuddly wiggly stage so much
Enjoy their chair pictures from this week – I think this will be my last opportunity for solo pictures like this.
It is a big hoop-a-la to go to Westminster – but when your dog qualifies for the 3rd year, it really feels like you should go.
We were so so proud to watch Nick strut his stuff on TV and represent himself and beagles so very well. He got BOS which is “Best Opposite Sex” to the girl who won – so essentially he was the Best of the boys While it didnt earn him a trip to the Hound Group, we were also very happy for Oleg V and Cukierka who won.
Here are some screen shots I took from the TV – no editing (obviously) – he is super
Just as suspected, Sylvie is an amazing mother and the pups are thriving. She keeps them spotlessly clean and well fed. Both girls have put on double their birthweight and girl 2 has tripled hers. She is chunky. LOL
Enjoy the photos of them – their first official ones. I have decided to call them the Olsen twins. So – without further ado
As I mentioned in an earlier post, the weather is warm enough that the little babies can actually go outside. We allowed Nellie’s 2 remaining pups (now 12 weeks) to play with them and it went well. I mean, they beat up on them a little but not too bad.
Enjoy the photos of them in our puppy yard. We just replanted some Oregon Grape there so it looks a little disheveled, but will make an excellent place for them to play as they grow.
Sylvie had an easy pregnancy, but also had some weird things – she bled (giant blood clots) starting from day 30 all the way up till about a week before she gave birth.
On day 64 I took her to my vet with no signs of labor. Her progesterone was 2.4 (we like it to be under 2 for a c-section). With 2 pups on board, we knew there was a possibility that her body wouldnt drop enough progesterone for labor to start and so we opted to give her a c-section and get the pups out safe and sound. I am always so thankful to Dr Anders Thoreson and the team at Klahaya for their care and kindness of my dogs.
I am so thankful that I get to be back there to rub babies down and be some of the first people to greet them earthside. Sylvie’s surgery went off without a hitch, and we got 2 healthy GIRLS – the babies were born hungry and vocal and ready for their first meal
Back at home, Syl settled in well – babies nursed well and quickly started to put on weight. As you might notice in the photos below, one of our sweet girls has a natural bob tail. She was checked over by our vet and he said there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with her. I am thankful for that.
I am so thankful to have these healthy girls. The one with the bob tail will be available since I wont be able to show her or use her in my breeding program. She will make a beautiful companion for someone.
