The cavalier puppies are thriving – they are playful and fun, eating like perfect little monsters three times a day and snuggling up a storm whenever they find a warm lap that will accommodate them. They are definitely cavaliers 🙂

They love playing outdoors and we got outside in between the rain showers this week.  I think they must be teething a little as the acorns outside took quite a beating with their tiny dinosaur teethies. 🙂  Better than my fingers i guess. 🙂

My breeding partners, Susan and Alisha from Lockestar cavaliers did an initial grading this week to see who might be staying at Kazuri/Lockestar for showing.  It is going to be a hard choice we can tell.  We will do our final grading on the 30th when they are 8 weeks, along with Mia from Zelosia Cavaliers (owner of the stud we used on Arrow’s litter).  Stay tuned 🙂

The cavalier pups are 6 weeks old.

First of all, I need to apologize for the obnoxious watermark across the images.  I found my images have been stolen and so I need to come up with a new way to deter people from taking them.  I’m not sure this is it…but its a work in progress…  So sorry…

Anyway, on to happier things.   The babies are too busy for photos now – they just want to play and jump and explore. And who could blame them – there is a giant world out there after all.

Their play pen now has a tunnel and a teeter board.  They are getting fairly proficient at using the litter box.  They come when I call “puppy” and their tails wag like little propellers.

Their personalities are definitely emerging.  We have a couple who are more bold and a few who are quieter.  But all are love bugs just as cavaliers should be.  <3  how we are ever going to let them go, I dont know.

For their 5 week anniversary, we gave the cavalier puppies a trip to the great outdoors  (ie our yard)  🙂   They were not really sure what to make of it and really just chewed on the plants around them. But, there wasn’t too much squeaking so I will call that a win for a positive experience 🙂

In fact a couple of them even fell asleep – I could tell they were super stressed by the whole thing – HA! Not 🙂

The cavalier puppies are 4 weeks.   They are wobbly walkers and starting to explore outside the whelping pen.  It’s fun to see them start to play with each other too.

They are eating solid food – well mushy food, but getting good at eating without causing too much mess.

I woke all the babies from a nap after a big playtime and so some of the puppies were just too worn out to have photos today.  But I thought they were adorable anyway.

Time is ticking on so fast – the babies are 3 weeks already.  They all have wide open eyes and are starting to explore.  They are finding their voices and we hear little growls and “purrs” from the puppy pen when they are awake.  Its rather sweet.

This week we will add a potty box to the puppy pen and start the process of introducing potty training.  I have never done this many puppies at once so I am hoping it will work okay.

This week we will also introduce their first solids.  I will definitely post a picture or two of their first meal 🙂

The cavalier puppies are 2 weeks old.  Cute as little buttons, they are growing and healthy.

Their little eyes are opening (well most of their eyes – Pumpkin’s are not quite yet).  So, i expect next week they will start to move around a little more.

I dont know if there are many things cuter than puppies and having 9 beautiful babies in the house is almost overwhelming.  They are getting a lot of snuggle time between the kids and their friends since it is Summer holidays.  They cant wait for them to grow up a little and start to play.

Because Arrow and Paris’ babies are similar in size, we have been able to share the puppies between them, meaning that Arrow has been feeding and caring for the bigger ones and Paris the smaller ones. It has meant that everyone has had equal share to grow without being pushed around.  Its awesome and both moms are happy to take any babies they are given.  We are so lucky they are great natural mothers.

The babies turned a week old so of course you know that meant i needed to document the occasion.  Everyone has grown and filled out since they were born.  <3  And everyone has adorable nicknames now thanks to my kids and their friends.
