I am so proud of miss Brinn – she lives with her mom and dad in Seattle and they agreed to let me show her. Her first show this year was indoors and she got frightened by some loud crashes and dogs barking – so much so that I pulled her from the ring as I didnt want her to associate fear with the ring. We held her and walked her around and by the end of the weekend she was in her groove.
We have shown her sporadically over the Summer and she garnered 4 majors – 2 of which were going BOS over several lovely specials for 5 and 4 point majors! It seemed when judges liked her, they really liked her.
Brinn will take time off now and will hopefully have a litter for Kazuri in 2025 – stay tuned for that announcement.
We are so proud of this little beagle girl who finished her CH title with 4 majors from the 6-9 month class. She has a great ring presence and took to showing well – I am super excited to see what she does next. Congratulations to the Roman family!!
Last October, Chelsea and I were given the opportunity to send our young special, Tex, with longtime handlers Mike and Karen Kurtzner to begin a campaign in pursuit of letting him live up to his full potential.
In January, Tex and Mike took their first steps into the ring together and were awarded Best of Variety and a group placement that very weekend! In the months that passed, Tex quickly amassed some great BOV and Group placement wins, making him the #1 fifteen inch beagle in the nation for January and February.
Much to our delight, we also had the honor of exhibiting at this year’s Westminster Kennel Club dog show, to which Tex continued to make more dreams come true – winning Best of Opposite Sex at his very first Westminster.
Campaigning a dog is an incredible privilege and responsibility. It is something we feel incredibly blessed and grateful to experience and, when you have a dog you believe in as much as we do, you have to give them the opportunity to shine.
Campaigning a dog also comes with considerable costs – time, energy, travel, personal life and financial demands. While we had hoped to make the budget stretch until December, it has become obvious that this is not achievable for us at this time.
To this end, Mike, Karen, Chelsea and I talked openly and made the mutual decision that Tex would go to Westminster and then head back to the West Coast to live with me again. While we all felt sad, we also all felt this was the best decision given the parameters we had to work in.
Tex has touched down in California after a little stop with me in Seattle, and is doing great. Mike and Karen took incredible care of him, and he is in top condition, and will be shown by Chelsea as I can.
We are so incredibly proud of all that Tex has accomplished is such a short amount of time. All that would not have been possible without the hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and years of experience that Mike and Karen have poured into our dog. We are so blessed, proud of, and incredibly grateful for them.
My friends Dolly, Malia and Ruthie and I went to Ridgefield to play at the International Dog show there.
We took beagles Savannah (Kazuri’s It’s Gonna Be Peachy), Gypsy (Joyful Noise N Kazuri Just Lace and Paper Flowers) and Whimsy (Joyful Noise N Kazuri Just Glitter in the Wind). Whim did not show but Savannah and Gypsy had a wonderful day. Both got their Puppy IntCH and Gypsy went on to get owner handled reserve best in show for the puppies. Talk about an incredible finish to the day!!
We took 4 cavaliers – Teddy (Kazuri’s Roosevelt Rough Rider), Puck (Kazuri’s Light Up The Ice), Charlie (Kazuri’s The Mystery of Hope) and Piper (Kazuri’s Play Me Another Love Song). All four attained top marks for their age and got their INT CH titles. I was so so thrilled indeed.
It was a busy weekend with loads of memories and fun. I am so glad I have these opportunities to hang out with my friends, road trip and show our amazing dogs. thank you to all the families who are guardians for some of these dogs and allow me to borrow them to show.
What an INCREDIBLE year indeed. Here is a recap of it all. I have SO much to be thankful for – most of all for my beagle and cavalier community – I couldn’t have done any of this without you all.
Nick – MBIS MBISS GCHP Kazuri’s All I Want For Christmas CGC TKN ATT finished the year as the #1 15 inch beagle for the 2nd year. He was recognized at the 2023 National Beagle Club as People’s Choice as voted by fellow breeders. He is in semi-retirement and will show in select shows in 2024 and beyond. We are also thrilled that he had 6 more of his progeny finish their CH titles and several others are close to finishing. These six gives him 12 CH get already. I am so thankful to the breeders who incorporated Nick into their program and am excited to see what happens next.

While my dogs have achieved this before, this was the first time I have been at the end of the leash for it.
I am so grateful for an incredible year of achievements. Let’s go 2024!!
Mishka’s babies are thriving and we got to bring them home. They are chubby and content and so wonderful. I am so glad this litter has been so easy. I took updated pictures – there are some cute pups in this bunch thats for sure.
Echo is keeping her little ones very satisfied and so they don’t really want to move around a whole lot yet. Their eyes have tiny peeps so we should have eyes open by the end of the week.
I am loving their bone and their lovely heads – its a very consistent looking litter and I can’t wait to see how they keep developing once they are up on their feet.
2022 has been an incredible year indeed. One for the memory books. We’ve had some incredible high moments and some low points also.
Focusing on the highs – this is 2022 in review.

A huge thank you to my co-breeders Mike & Karen Kurtzner, Chelsea Metteer & Dolly Stearns for your friendship, partnership and support. Thank you to the co-owners and guardian homes for your support, and letting me show your dogs – for keeping them trained and in good shape. Thank you to Sarah Smith-Falkner, Tammie Wilcox & Cheyenne Calvert (and their teams) for showing my dogs, especially out of state, when I could not be there in person. I couldn’t have finished so many without you. Thank you to all the judges who have found my dogs worthy – in the classes and group ring and BIS ring – I am so thankful for you acknowledging my breeding program as you have.
Thank you to all the incredible families who cheer us on, and love our dogs like we do – we are eternally grateful for all of you. <3 It really takes a village and I feel I am better because of all of you <3
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the newest member of the Kazuri family. We were lucky enough to aquire Mishka “Michelle” – CH Pun Kotzky’s Michelle, Ma’ Belle bred by Dr Oleg Voloshin & Dr Oksana Gavrilova. She will complete her health tests in 2023 and maybe have her first litter. She is pictured below at 6 months

I am so so pleased to announce that Sir “Kazuri’s To Sir With Love” is our latest champion. He makes Kazuri’s 6th beagle champion for 2021. <3
On Saturday, at the Sammamish Kennel club being held in Enumclaw WA, under judge Mrs. Kathleen J Brock, Sir went WD, BOW for a 3point major.
Then again today, under Mrs. Marianne C. Klinkoswki, he did it again going WD and BOW for another 3 point major to finish.
Sir finished his CH undefeated in the classes in only 4 weekends of showing (one of which was a single specialty day). He is now going to finish his health testing and enjoy the good life at home for a while. I am very proud.
Pending AKC approval, Kazuri has beagle CH #5 for 2021
Violet – CH Kazuri’s Keeping Up Appearances. <3
Violet is the daughter of Mia (CH Foxtail’s Need For Speed TKN) and Riker (GCH CH Starbuck & Manabay Boldly Go Fourth, BCAT, ORT, L1V, NW1) and finished at the Houston World of Series Dog Shows with 3 majors. She is now going to retire for a little bit until it’s her time to have babies.
We are so proud of this sweet and sassy little girl. She has gone to live with Riker’s mom Rebecca Dodson, who runs BodlyGoSports – she trains and competes in agility, dock diving, nose work and more. Violet is going to be very happy.
