Echo is continuing to do a wonderful job with her little ones. They have tasted and love food and so that’s a new achievement unlocked. I will post some pictures of that soon.
I did their photos on the blue chair today as they are starting to move about and I think by next week they will want to explore and move around too much π
Echo is keeping her little ones very satisfied and so they don’t really want to move around a whole lot yet. Their eyes have tiny peeps so we should have eyes open by the end of the week.
I am loving their bone and their lovely heads – its a very consistent looking litter and I can’t wait to see how they keep developing once they are up on their feet.
If Iβm honest, Iβm overwhelmed with gratitude with the honor of standing beside such incredible breeders and exhibitors and humbled that I had a part to play in several of the awards given out for 2022.
The National Beagle Club announced that Nick is the official 15 inch beagle of the year for 2022. I am beyond grateful to co-breeders and co-owners Mike and Karen who have made Nick the superstar he is as they take him to all the shows across the US
It was a 3 way tie for βStud dog of the yearβ – each with 7 CH progeny- Nick (MBIS MBISS GCHP Kazuriβs All I Want For Christmas CGC TKN ATT), Spencer (BISS CH HaβPennys Too Much Trouble) and Alvin (BISS GCHS Tallie Farms Mysteries and Mayhem) – I am so thrilled for breeders and owners of Nick – myself, Mike Karen and of course Penny Petrille who is Spencers breeder., to Dan & Terri Carter (Spencers owners when he was alive) and Susan Kustrup (Alvin’s breeder and owner) – congratulations to each of these deserving dogs.
As if that wasnβt enough, the girl Chelsea Metteer and I imported from Australia and bred her together, Puddin (Aus CH Karakush Proof Is InTh Puddin) won Dam of the year with 7 CHs from one litter (Her litter with SPencer). Huge thank you and congratulations to her breeders Leigh and Helen Gibson.
The thing I marvel about is none of this was done alone. I have strived to build community with my life in dogs and the fact that all of these wins were with my friends is such a bonus. I am so grateful for all the work and effort of those who went before me to set me up for such success. So thank you to my co-owners, co-breeders and everyone cheering us on.
I say it all the time, but we are better together. At least I know I am.
Sylvie’s girls are 7 weeks and so I had to take photos of them on my chair. I love this curious, sweet and capable stage – they can navigate 1 stair, use their potty box, eat like they havent eaten in 7 years – it’s amazing.
I love these girls and see a lot of promise of how my imported line can blend with my line
Sylvie’s babies LOVE to play with the cavalier puppies. They have their own play space, but we put them together at times and the beagles are developing so fast – I think it’s because they have pups a month older to follow.
The weather is continuing to be gorgeous so there are nightly play sessions with the big dogs – they love them.
What an amazing weekend of fun, and friendship – thank you John and Dolly for your hospitality and Brianna, Ruthie, Jonah, Hannah, Tina, Lorna and Sam for all the amazing conversations, laughs and camaraderie.
Spokane kennel club didnβt disappoint with large spacious grooming spaces, great vendors, and amazing prizes given to the beagle winners! We won 2 gift baskets – woop woop. Thank you so much!
I was proud of my beagle crew – yes it was a very busy weekend π .
Buck (15) (Kazuri’s Call of the Wild) went reserve both days.
Johnny (15) (Joyful Noise N Kazuri’s Keeping Up with the Roses) went WD on Saturday.
Audrey (15) (Rosehounds Brown Eyed Girl at Kazuri) went WB/BOW on Saturday.
Willow (15) (Kazuri’s Cover Me In Sunshine) went Select both days for a major towards her Grand.
Maxim (15) (GCH Kazuri’s Rockin The Naughty List at Roylcrest) went BOS Saturday and BOV on Sunday finishing his GCH and working on his bronze.
And in cavaliers, Stevie (Kazuri’s You Are the Sunshine Of My Life) went BOB on Saturday and reserve winners Sunday. (darn he just needs one major to finish – LOL)
My little cavalier puppy Piper (Kazuri’s Play Me Another Love Song) went WB from the BBE class Sunday for her first points and only her 2nd time showing – we unfortunately missed ring time by minutes Saturday as I was in the beagle ring.
I donβt have photos of the dogs but I did of the amazing gift baskets we won with the beagles – thank you Dolly Stearns for putting those amazing gifts together lol.
I was so proud of miss Piper for winning WB today for her first points. Unfortunately the major broke as someone didn’t show up, but we will take 2 points – we are on the board. π
I also, wanted to introduce (officially) the newest member of the Kazuri family – Gentry – bred by Katarzyna and imported from Poland, and co-owned by Rose Kee.
“Prince Polo Krolewska Zgraja” aka Gentry
He had his debut in the 4-6 puppy classes this weekend and got a Bpup Hound group 4 yesterday and a Bpup Hound group 1 today! I am so proud of him and canβt wait for him to get Into the official ring next month when he turns 6 months. Thank you Kelly for showing him for us!!
