Kiss and Denny’s cavalier pups are 5 weeks old

Time is flying by so fast – I cant believe I am half way to some of these guys going home. Oh my gosh – I cant even think about it.

They are all super eaters now. When the bowls go down, they chow down. They were introduced to the big pack this week and Phoenix (my 1 year old ruby cavalier) was especially excited. If you want to see a video of her playing with one, i put it on Instagram @kazuri_beaglesandcavaliers She sits by their pen and tries t play through the bars and begs me to lets them out several times a day.

The pups are getting so good at walking around and playing that we decided to take them for their first outing outside into the yard. They were a little shy at first (as you will see in the pictures), but once they had figured out that they were safe, they started exploring a little and chewing on leaves and such. It is still a little cold out, and so we didn’t stay for long. We will take them out for small times again each day. 🙂

Here are the latest pictures of the babies – they are getting bigger. <3

I will be forever thankful to Heidi Mohn from Covington cavaliers for allowing me to use her beautiful boy Denny ( CKCSC-USA CH & AKC CH Covington Designed By Time) for this litter.

Thank you for your interest in my puppies and breeding program. At this stage I don’t know if any of these puppies will be available as I will start assessing them around week 7/8 to see who will stay in my breeding program. I thank you for your patience and understanding. I do understand how hard it is to wait.

If you want to be considered for a puppy, please look on my “puppy page” for all the information you need about my breeding plans, FAQs, and a questionnaire to fill out. Thanks, Sarah

Emmy’s beagle pups play outdoors

Emmy’s pups are now 6 weeks old – I cant believe it. They are enjoying the outdoors more and more now. Karen sent me these pictures so I just had to share them <3

** Just a reminder that these puppies are being raised with my co-breeders Mike and Karen in Sacramento California, so you cant visit them in Seattle unfortunately. I will be bringing them up at some point in April.

Emmy’s beagle pups enjoy the outdoors for the first time

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, so Mike and Karen decided to let the puppies have their first experience outdoors. The funny story is that they were way more interested in their momma Emmy than they were in the interesting sights and sounds and scents around.

Emmy is such a sweet, loving, kind mom. She takes it all in her stride – 7 puppies could be overwhelming, but not for her. What a rockstar momma.

We welcome Emmy’s Beagle Puppies

My co-breeder’s ( who live in Sacramento) and I are proud to announce that Emmy’s litter arrived safe and sound. This litter is particularly special as it was conceived with 22 year old frozen semen from a dog that passed away many years ago – Ben – BIS BISS Kahootz Chase Manhattan. I am amazed at how technology can help us preserve DNA these days. Ben is a very well known dog in the beagle world and I am proud to be able to bring this old pedigree back into my pedigree and all that Ben has to offer.

Baby 1 was a Girl – 7.4 oz
Baby 2 was another girl – 8.1oz
Baby #3 was a little boy – 7.7oz
Baby #4 was another boy – 8.2oz
Baby #5 was another girl – 8.8oz
Baby #6 was another boy – 10.3oz
We got a surprise 7th baby – a huge girl weighing an even 11oz

We had thought she was just having 6, so she surprised us with a bonus #7 🙂 4 girls and 3 boys 🙂 Nice job Ben and Emmy <3 Mom and babies are all doing well. Emmy is a wonderful mother and the report is that the puppies are all vigorous and strong. I am so thankful.

At this stage I have no idea if any of these puppies will be available – we are going to take our time with this litter since the bloodline is one we have waited so long for. Thank you for understanding.

Maddy’s pups are 8 weeks & Vixen’s pups are 11 weeks

The puppies are growing about as quickly as the temperatures are dropping – fall in the PNW is certainly here. The puppies dont seem to notice though as they play in the yard and enjoy being outside each day.

My poor plants are squashed and flattened by all the games of catch and tag that happen over them, but I cant even be mad with how cute they all are.

I cant help but think this is the final time Maddy’s 5 will be together before Bepper (now Ella), Api (now Bradley) and Gelly (now Poppy) will be going to their new homes.

The homes that Cottonz and Wistor had lined up, have fallen through.

However, I am looking for guardian homes for them. This means that the couple or family will co-own with me and allow me to show the dog to CH title (at my expense) and one day she will have a litter of puppies before being spayed. They are not available as just pets. If you think you are interested in meeting me and talking about this kind of partnership/relationship, please feel free to email me.

Madison’s pups are 7 weeks & Vixen’s pups are 10 weeks

We are lucky to have Eve (now named Echo by her new family) for a few more days. She goes home to her new family on Friday. Then we will just have Nick and Noelle left from Vixen’s litter. Nick will be staying till he is big enough to fly down to California to live with co-breeders Mike and Karen Kurtzner where he will be spoiled before starting his show career. Noelle’s owners will come and get her on the 26th October. After having them here so long, it will be hard to say goodbye. But they have amazing homes and will be so very loved and so that makes the transition sweeter.

Madison’s litter just turned 7 weeks – they are almost ready to go home to their new families. Bepper is now named “Ella” and will be going to live with the McHenry family where she will be the little sister of another Kazuri beagle “Sullivan”. Api doesn’t have a new name yet, but he will be going to the Cassidy home where he will be loved dearly. And Gelly will be going to live in Canby OR – her new name is “Poppy” and she will be little sister to a sweet daschund and live with the Reaney family. Wistor has a family that is deciding on her right now. I hope to know soon if they will take her or not.. She will be shown in conformation. Miss Cottonz is being looked at closer as a show prospect. I would love to talk to families who would be willing to have her in their home as a pet, but also let me show her and one day have a litter before retirement. This is called a special relationship called a “guardianship”. If you want to know more about it, please contact me sarah.sweetman@outlook.com

Madison’s puppies are 5 weeks

Madison’s puppies are really starting to look and act like real puppies. They are playing with Vixen’s puppies – they of course get beaten up, but it’s making them tough too 🙂 LOL. They are almost weaned – not because they want to be – ha!

They are sweet and confident – they are getting good at going up 2 – 3 stairs at a time thanks to the little ladder and slide they play on and love playing in the garden. I love snuggling them so much.

Enjoy the photos of them from this week <3

Vixen’s puppies are 8 weeks old

It’s hard to believe that Vixen’s puppies are old enough to fly the coup. Oh my gosh. I am just so glad that a couple of them are spending a couple of extra weeks here as their families cant pick them up yet, and so I get a few more weeks of snuggles – WHEW!

Eve’s new name is Echo (purple collar) – she is bold and bright and full of energy. But she also wants to be with people and is super friendly. She is going to live with the Sheppard family and will be shown in conformation and 4H. Noelle (yellow collar) is laid back and quiet, although definitely not a push over – she loves to be snuggled and nestles into your neck. She is going to live as a pet with the Banks family. Kris (black collar) is outgoing and friendly – he is my daughter’s favorite puppy and she will be sad to see him go. He has found the perfect home with L Blank and her boyfriend and he has already settled in perfectly. Nick (blue collar) may be a 13 inch and is my little shadow – he watches me intently and I think he is super smart. I am hoping we will show him and he will be part of our breeding program if he continues to grow in the way he is right now. Holly (pink collar) is super sweet, and has enough spice to be fun and playful but melts into your arms when you pick her up. She has gone to the loving home with the Langan’s and I am pleased to know we will see her in the show ring next Summer.

Enjoy the latest pictures of them playing around our yard. <3

Vixen’s pups are 7 weeks and Madison’s pups are 4 weeks.

Today everyone went out for a romp in the sunshine and so I took photos. I decided I like the candid’s this week, and so that’s what I will post. I will post who is who in the picture descriptions. 🙂 Just in case you cant tell who they are.

Vixen’s litter have got collars on – since they are nearing the time they will go to their new homes, they are practicing the skills they will need for that like having a collar on, and climbing multiple stairs, and sleeping in a crate alone. I find these things help with the transition to the new family. <3

I have a female available to a “guardian home”. This is a special home that will allow me to show her and then have a couple of litters when she has come of age and finished her health testing. This kind of home has to be in the Seattle area. If you are interested in learning more about this, or finding out more please email me sarah.sweetman@outlook.com

Sweet newborn Nick

When taking photos of the pups in my studio today, little Nick (aged 6 weeks) found a comfy spot to curl up for a nap – on a newborn photography prop. (I wont mention that he chewed it first…. :P)

So, of course, being primarily a newborn photographer, I had to document him before I moved him to his crate and brought him home.

Isnt he a doll? <3

Thank you for your interest in my dogs. At this stage, all of my beagle puppies are sold. I have a current waiting list that may mean you have to wait till 2020 for a puppy to become available. If you are okay with waiting, please get in touch with me – sarah.sweetman@outook.com. Please see my FAQ page for any questions you might have. thank you. <3
