I am beyond thrilled with Dutch – (now BISS GCH Van-Mar N Kazuri Brewin Up Trouble)
Today at the Columbia Willamette Beagle Club he thrilled me by going BOV and then BISS!! With me at the leash!
This was so exciting as he was piloted by breeder/owner – me (Sarah Sweetman). It was also exciting because this is the 2nd BISS winner from our Spencer x Puddin litter. Audrey got a BISS only last month. SO now we have 2 BISS and 2 group placers from this special litter
Dutch was bred by Chelsea Metteer and myself Sarah Sweetman. He is owned by us and Sarah Smith-Falkner.
Thank you to Leigh and Helen for Pud, and to Terri and Dan for the Spencer semen. Thank you to everyone ringside who helped me get dogs and hold dogs while I was in the ring.
It was such a fun day
Unfortunately the judge, Mrs Ann C Meyer was judging Whippets (64 of them) and I couldn’t hang out and wait till she was done to get a photo with her. I am so thankful to her though.
What an amazing weekend of fun, and friendship – thank you John and Dolly for your hospitality and Brianna, Ruthie, Jonah, Hannah, Tina, Lorna and Sam for all the amazing conversations, laughs and camaraderie.
Spokane kennel club didn’t disappoint with large spacious grooming spaces, great vendors, and amazing prizes given to the beagle winners! We won 2 gift baskets – woop woop. Thank you so much!
I was proud of my beagle crew – yes it was a very busy weekend 🙂 .
Buck (15) (Kazuri’s Call of the Wild) went reserve both days.
Johnny (15) (Joyful Noise N Kazuri’s Keeping Up with the Roses) went WD on Saturday.
Audrey (15) (Rosehounds Brown Eyed Girl at Kazuri) went WB/BOW on Saturday.
Willow (15) (Kazuri’s Cover Me In Sunshine) went Select both days for a major towards her Grand.
Maxim (15) (GCH Kazuri’s Rockin The Naughty List at Roylcrest) went BOS Saturday and BOV on Sunday finishing his GCH and working on his bronze.
And in cavaliers, Stevie (Kazuri’s You Are the Sunshine Of My Life) went BOB on Saturday and reserve winners Sunday. (darn he just needs one major to finish – LOL)
My little cavalier puppy Piper (Kazuri’s Play Me Another Love Song) went WB from the BBE class Sunday for her first points and only her 2nd time showing – we unfortunately missed ring time by minutes Saturday as I was in the beagle ring.
I don’t have photos of the dogs but I did of the amazing gift baskets we won with the beagles – thank you Dolly Stearns for putting those amazing gifts together lol.
Sylvie’s babies are growing stronger every day. They have started to make little growls and howls and play with each other and the toys in their puppy pen.
Just like the cavalier pups, I took photos of the girls in the basket and then they explored the garden for a while.
Sylvie’s girls are being very satisfied with momma and they are sleeping a lot. They have only just begun to get up of their bellies and onto their feet. I tried to give them solids, but decided they were too full. 🙂 It took 4 or 5 tries before they started to take interest. very unusual for beagle puppies. LOL
As I mentioned in an earlier post, the weather is warm enough that the little babies can actually go outside. We allowed Nellie’s 2 remaining pups (now 12 weeks) to play with them and it went well. I mean, they beat up on them a little but not too bad.
Enjoy the photos of them in our puppy yard. We just replanted some Oregon Grape there so it looks a little disheveled, but will make an excellent place for them to play as they grow.
Charlotte’s pups are tubby little lumps – they are eating 3 meals a day from a bowl and using their potty box well. Mama has almost completely weaned them and they are so healthy.
Just like Phoenix’s pups, we took them outdoors for the first time since the weather allowed it. They were a little stunned at first which meant I could take their photos 🙂 But they quickly ran off to explore.
These boys are all spoken for. Enjoy their photos from this week
I have to say the reminder that Phoenix’s blenhiem girl is staying with a friend till she is a little older (see my previous blogpost) – so we wont have official photos of her for a few more weeks.
However, the 3 i have are doing great – they are eating mushy food now and all well over a 1lb – which is 4x their birthweights – pretty incredible. They are playing with each other (or attempting to at least) and making little squeaks when I go in – I love it.
