Some people know, and other’s dont – I am a photographer as my “real” job – I photograph newborn babies and families primarily. So, I dabble with my puppies as a little fun on the side.
I decided to do something adorable tonight – I gathered my kids and had them help me – and it worked – Oh my gosh – what a way to commemorate these beautiful babies. I am gonna miss them that’s for sure. <3
It’s hard to believe that 8 weeks ago these precious little ones were born. It has both flown by and felt like they have been here for a lifetime – is that weird? I adore these little ones – their fun little personalities and their unconditional love.
These are the final days with everyone being together for next week they will start leaving for their forever homes. They will always be family. Several I hope to show and so they will be part of my breeding program still. I know their new families will adore and love them as much as we do. <3
Enjoy photos of them playing outside tonight – my favorite images are my daughter rolling down the hill and the puppies chasing her. They truly LOVE the game of chase.
Thank you for your interest in my breeding program. I am sending out the final offers, but I believe these puppies are now all sold.
I have a waitlist and my current wait time is about 12 months – it could be more or less depending on circumstances. If you want to be on it, please go to my Puppy Page, for more information.
Stacking puppies is one of the ways we get to analyse a dog’s structure and balance. We get to compare them to one another. We get to see their angles and how well their neck and shoulder flow into their backs. We look at their muzzle shape, ear set, heads. We also watch them move – side gait and coming and going. All things that matter to a breeding program but not much to a pet family. These are photos of the babies – they were not being very co-operative, but you get the idea 🙂
The beagle puppies are growing up and I am enjoying the final time I have with them. Their personalities are coming out and it’s fun to see who is first to try something new and who waits to watch others.
They play in the yard daily and today and I went out in with my camera and took some pictures. These are the colors of collars they have on, so in the photos you know who is who: (Maddy x Buddy) – Gordon – Yellow, Ming – Silver, Bobby – Black, Mario – Cream, Carla – Purple, Julia – Pink. (Vixen x BJ) Elon – Light Blue, Doug – Navy Blue, Bob – Green, Katherine – Red, Dorothy – Orange.
Enjoy the fun – and the wrestling <3
Thank you for your interest in my breeding program. I am just starting to make offers for the puppies as I have decided which pups might stay in my breeding program.
Please note for any new enquiries, that I have approximately a 12 month + wait time for puppies at this time.
Charlotte doesn’t bear the “Kazuri” affix because she was the result of a combined breeding between myself and Alisha and Susan Lockleer from Lockestar cavaliers. We felt it was only fitting to combine our affixes to show it was a joint effort.
Miss Charlotte doesn’t live with me, she lives with a guardian home (a home where she is, for the most part, a beloved pet – but when the time comes, if she passes her health tests they will allow me to have a litter or two from her). So, when she was visiting this week, I took the opportunity to get some updated photos of her.
As i mentioned in my last post, when the beagle puppies were at my studio, they fell asleep so I made the most of it by taking some cute pictures of them together. Then, Mr Ming was sleeping on a pillow, so I snapped a couple of extras of him. <3
Enjoy

Thank you for your interest in my breeding program. I wont be making offers to any families till closer to 7-8 weeks when I can assess their structure and temperament, and decide which will be staying in my breeding program. I am just not quite ready yet – thank you for your patience.

The beagle puppies are getting bolder and starting to really love the routines. They understand where the food bowls are (naturally) and how to navigate the little stairs out to the yard they play in. It’s amazing how quickly they are growing and exploring their world.
I still haven’t made my decisions about who is staying and going. I appreciate all the people who are waiting and how hard it is for you and i want to thank you for your patience. My breeding program takes hundreds of hours of preparation, commitment and thousands of dollars, and so i agonize over making the right decision so I don’t place the best puppy into a family where they will get neutered or spayed. I try to keep the best in every litter, so my breeding program is built on the built – temperament, structure and health wise. So, again I thank you for your patience.
Here are the photos of this week. I took them to my studio this week for my typical “blue chair” photos. I usually let them play for a while first so they aren’t so wiggly, but by the time I started, they were so worn out nearly everyone was asleep. HA! It worked too well. So some of them are barely awake in the photos.

It was a lovely afternoon so I decided to let the beagle puppies play in the backyard with the big dogs. They confidently ran around smelling all the new smells and exploring the new spots in the yard. We have almost an acre so it could be intimidating for tiny pups, but I was so happy to see that they happy out there. It probably helped that their mommies were out there too.

Thank you for your interest in my breeding program. I wont be making offers to any families till closer to 6-7 weeks when I can assess their structure and temperament, and decide which will be staying in my breeding program.

Miss Phoenix is now 14 months and I haven’t put any recent pictures of her on my website so I figured it was about time. She has a funny quirk that when I am trying to take her picture, she blinks – a lot. So, these aren’t the best pictures of her, but they are better than nothing 🙂 <3
5 weeks – when did that happen? Woah. They are bone-a-fide mini dogs now – running around and talking (aka growling) and playing together and with toys. They love the mini slide and teeter totter. We have combined the two litters together so to make sure we don’t mix them up, I have put collars on Vixen’s litter. While their markings are different, I don’t want to chance mixing them up till I am completely sure I know who is who. Some of them look very similar 🙂
This week’s photos I did outside – their first outside outing – they were a little nervous but mostly curious and so getting them to sit still was quite a challenge. I can see my days of getting headshots are numbered. 😛 HA! But that’s okay – there is a big world out here to explore. This week they will play in the yard properly for the first time. That will be a big adventure for them.
