Harley’s beagle puppies are 3 weeks (and a couple of days) old

This has been a big week – the puppies got some kind of tummy bug and the poor sweet babies got vomiting and diarrhea. So we had a few days of making sure they were hydrated and keeping up on calories. Thankfully we seem to be back on track to healthy and so we are on track again.

They are starting to crawl around, and play fight – their tiny growls are just adorable. I love that when I go into visit them, they wake up and come toddling over.

Enjoy the photos of them from this week – a titch over 3 weeks as I wanted to make sure they were safe and healthy.

Harley and Victor’s beagle puppies open their eyes

I love it when puppy eyes open – I know it is one step towards them walking around which is one of my favorite stages. Harley is a wonderful momma and she loves her babies – she keeps them all spotlessly clean.

Updated pictures of Harley’s beagle puppies

Its been a big few days with the teeny girl getting pneumonia and needing 24 hour support with tube feeding and hydration, nebulizer treatments and antibiotics. So i am tired. However, I am so pleased to say that she is doing well and we are so proud that she is a fighter and we will continue to fight alongside her and watch her closely. We are cautiously optimistic that she will make it.

Since I am a Musical nut and this week is the release of “Wicked” at the movies (and it is also here on the stage in Seattle) I decided to give everyone names from there.

Harley Quinn welcomes her babies to the world.

Harley Quinn was due on Sunday or Monday (according to progesterone) and decided to surprise us with her babies on the early hours of this morning. She had 5 boys and 2 girls in the space of 3 hours.

Boy #1 – thin necklace (6.75oz)

Girl #1 – lots of white (4.6oz)

Girl #2 – teeny girl (3.5oz)

Boy #2 – thick white collar (5.5oz)

Boy #3 – two dots on neck (5.75oz)

Boy #4 – one dot and giant (9.75oz)

Boy #5 – flick of white – (6oz)

Mom and babies are doing very well and I can’t wait to introduce them to you in a couple of days when we have the little teeny girl settled.

Charity and Daisy’s beagle puppies turn 7 weeks old

I can’t believe the beagle puppies are 7 weeks old already. It feels like they were just born and now we have to start making some hard decisions about who is going to stay in our breeding program and who will go as beloved pets. Many of these puppies are similar and could potentially be a show dog, but not every puppy needs to be a show dog or bred from.

They are confident, fun, sweet and happy to meet new people. They were seen by a vet and all clear 🙂

Beagle puppy portraits on my blue chair

Photos on the blue chair are some of my favorite to do with every litter. They don’t all feel they should be sitting still when they could be playing or exploring or cuddling. But we managed to get a photo of them all 🙂

Love these precious little puppies – they make me very proud. We have a couple of companion boys available if anyone is interested.

First stack for the beagle puppies

The beagle puppies are 5.5 weeks old and I stacked them today so start to look at their structure. Most of these puppies will go as companion pets, even if they could be shown. A couple of these lovely babies will stay around Kazuri to be part of our future generations and team.

Charlie gets his first points

I am so proud of Mr Charlie who won WD/BOW on Friday under judge Yvonne Savard and then reserve on Saturday on Mrs. Carol C Sommerfelt and then WD again on Sunday under judge  Mr. Gary Stiles.

Charlie (Kazuri’s The Mystery of Hope) is owned by me (Sarah Sweetman) and was bred by Becky Smith & Sue Savage Green. I am very thankful to them for trusting me with this sweet boy. Thank you to Cheyenne from Sirius handling for taking Charlie to these shows when I couldn’t attend.

Beagle puppies play outdoors with confidence

I love that now days, the growth is noticeable even day to day. things that made them nervous yesterday, now have a positive association and their curiosity takes over.

We are using as much of the last of the Summer days as possible and hoping fall will wait just a little longer before coming out too much and bringing the cold days and rainfall.

My older dogs are so curious about the little ones but wont get to meet them til next week, just to keep them all safe.

All Hound Club of Bellingham Show

Hound shows are so much fun to attend – the comradery is so fun between the sight and scent hounds. It’s good fun with good friends and we all cheer each other on which is so nice.

This is how the weekend went for the Kazuri dogs – owned/co-owned.

Callie (GCHB Kazuri’s Everything’s Sugar N Spice FDC DCAT) won BOV/BOVOH in 13s both days. Callie is bred by Sarah Sweetman, MIke & Karen Kurtzner and is owned by Sarah Sweetman

Gypsy (Joyful Noise N Kazuri Just Lace and Paper Flowers) went WB both days for 2 more points towards her CH title. Gyp won “best puppy” in 13s on Saturday. Gypsy was bred by Dolly Stearns and Sarah Sweetman is owned by myself (Sarah Sweetman)

Whimsy (Joyful Noise N Kazuri Just Glitter In The Wind) went WB both days for 1 more point towards her CH title. Whim won best Puppy in 15s and Best BBE in 15s. Whim was bred by Dolly Stearns and Sarah Sweetman is owned by myself (Dolly Stearns and Ruthie Tesky)

Ozzy ( Kazuri N Joyful Noise Just Over the Rainbow) went WD both days for 1 more point towards his CH title. He also won “Best Bred By” in 13s on Sunday and got a BBE Hound group 2!! Ozzy was bred by Dolly Stearns and Sarah Sweetman is owned by Tesla Sabatier, Sarah Sweetman & Dolly Stearns.

Gracie (GCH CH Zamaradi’s Beautiful Mistake FDC DCAT CGC TKN ATT ) won best opposite 15” Saturday and select/BOBOH Sunday and a cut in the hound group! Though not bred by Kazuri, both of Gracie’s parents are Kazuri dogs. So she is still family. 🙂 She was bred by Sarah Smith-Falkner and is owned by Malia Throop & Sarah Smith-Falkner

Savannah (GCH CH Kazuri’s Gonna Be Peachy FDC) got select both days. On top of that Savannah got her BCAT title last weekend at the Iliana Schipperke Club. Vannah was was bred by Sarah Sweetman is owned by Malia Throop and Sarah Sweetman

Maxim (GCH Kazuri’s Rocking The Naughty List at Roylcrest) won select dog in a huge line up of lovely specials on Saturday putting him just a couple of points shy of his GCH Bronze title. Maxim is bred by Sarah Sweetman, Mike & Karen Kurtzner and is owned by Lorna & Sam Boydston and Sarah Sweetman
