Madison’s pups are 7 weeks & Vixen’s pups are 10 weeks

We are lucky to have Eve (now named Echo by her new family) for a few more days. She goes home to her new family on Friday. Then we will just have Nick and Noelle left from Vixen’s litter. Nick will be staying till he is big enough to fly down to California to live with co-breeders Mike and Karen Kurtzner where he will be spoiled before starting his show career. Noelle’s owners will come and get her on the 26th October. After having them here so long, it will be hard to say goodbye. But they have amazing homes and will be so very loved and so that makes the transition sweeter.

Madison’s litter just turned 7 weeks – they are almost ready to go home to their new families. Bepper is now named “Ella” and will be going to live with the McHenry family where she will be the little sister of another Kazuri beagle “Sullivan”. Api doesn’t have a new name yet, but he will be going to the Cassidy home where he will be loved dearly. And Gelly will be going to live in Canby OR – her new name is “Poppy” and she will be little sister to a sweet daschund and live with the Reaney family. Wistor has a family that is deciding on her right now. I hope to know soon if they will take her or not.. She will be shown in conformation. Miss Cottonz is being looked at closer as a show prospect. I would love to talk to families who would be willing to have her in their home as a pet, but also let me show her and one day have a litter before retirement. This is called a special relationship called a “guardianship”. If you want to know more about it, please contact me sarah.sweetman@outlook.com

Madison’s pups are 6 weeks old

Maddy’s babies are 6 weeks old. We still have Nick, Eve and Noelle are still here for a few more weeks till they go to their new homes. The babies are really not looking like babies anymore and so now I can start to assess them and see if anyone will stay in my breeding program. I cant wait to do this. 🙂

The two litters get along so well I have now combined them – they are now playing together all day and napping together. The new skills development continues with crate training for the older pups well underway.

I love them so much. Holly (now Chloe) and Kris (now Walter) are settled into their new homes and the reports I have are wonderful. They are greatly missed but I love to hear that they are doing so well with their new families.

Madison’s puppies are 5 weeks

Madison’s puppies are really starting to look and act like real puppies. They are playing with Vixen’s puppies – they of course get beaten up, but it’s making them tough too 🙂 LOL. They are almost weaned – not because they want to be – ha!

They are sweet and confident – they are getting good at going up 2 – 3 stairs at a time thanks to the little ladder and slide they play on and love playing in the garden. I love snuggling them so much.

Enjoy the photos of them from this week <3

Vixen’s puppies are 8 weeks old

It’s hard to believe that Vixen’s puppies are old enough to fly the coup. Oh my gosh. I am just so glad that a couple of them are spending a couple of extra weeks here as their families cant pick them up yet, and so I get a few more weeks of snuggles – WHEW!

Eve’s new name is Echo (purple collar) – she is bold and bright and full of energy. But she also wants to be with people and is super friendly. She is going to live with the Sheppard family and will be shown in conformation and 4H. Noelle (yellow collar) is laid back and quiet, although definitely not a push over – she loves to be snuggled and nestles into your neck. She is going to live as a pet with the Banks family. Kris (black collar) is outgoing and friendly – he is my daughter’s favorite puppy and she will be sad to see him go. He has found the perfect home with L Blank and her boyfriend and he has already settled in perfectly. Nick (blue collar) may be a 13 inch and is my little shadow – he watches me intently and I think he is super smart. I am hoping we will show him and he will be part of our breeding program if he continues to grow in the way he is right now. Holly (pink collar) is super sweet, and has enough spice to be fun and playful but melts into your arms when you pick her up. She has gone to the loving home with the Langan’s and I am pleased to know we will see her in the show ring next Summer.

Sweet newborn Nick

When taking photos of the pups in my studio today, little Nick (aged 6 weeks) found a comfy spot to curl up for a nap – on a newborn photography prop. (I wont mention that he chewed it first…. :P)

So, of course, being primarily a newborn photographer, I had to document him before I moved him to his crate and brought him home.

Isnt he a doll? <3

Thank you for your interest in my dogs. At this stage, all of my beagle puppies are sold. I have a current waiting list that may mean you have to wait till 2020 for a puppy to become available. Vixen and Payton’s puppies are six weeks old

Vixen’s puppies are 6 weeks. I can not believe they are already this age – although when I look at all the things they can do, it makes sense. They love their tunnel and their mini slide and teeter totter. We took them away to Seaside this weekend and because of traffic the drive took 4 hours instead of 2.5 – they didnt make a peep in the car – I suspect they will make great travelers. 🙂

I took them to my photography studio today so I could do photos. They walked out of the crate as if they owned the place. I love their confidence. <3 It’s hard to think I might only have a few weeks or a month left with them.

Enjoy the latest pictures of them. I do enjoy taking them (even if they are super wiggly).

Madison and Walter’s puppies are 3 weeks old today

Maddy’s pups are 3 weeks today. They are big healthy chunky monkeys. They had their first taste of puppy mush today and they LOVED it – I will post pictures of that later. 🙂

They got a litterbox today also – they will start to learn how to use it over the coming weeks just as our previous litters have.

Madison’s babies are 2.5 weeks old

I am a little late for the 2 weeks post for Maddy’s babies. It has been a busy week and so I brought them with me to a shoot at my studio this morning.

All of the babies eyes are open and they are getting so strong as they move around the whelping pen. I can see that I will need to set up the potty box in the next week or so for them too.

Enjoy these latest pictures of my squishy babies – they are growing way to fast for my heart. <3

Vixen’s puppies are 5 weeks old

Vixen’s puppies are 5 weeks old and I decided to do their photos outdoors – despite their hour long playtime, they were still not interested in sitting still for pictures – hahaha! And who can blame them when there is a whole big world to explore?

They are on 3 solid meals a day. They sleep alone and are almost weaned. I cant believe they are growing up so quickly.

Holly. She is sweet and gentle. The smallest of the litter, however not to be overlooked – she has spark for sure and wont be pushed around by her siblings.

Eve – my nickname for her is “spicy” – she is the first to wake up and come over when I call them for food and always is in the mix of everything. She is busy and bold and vocal about wanting snuggles.

Noelle – She is the most laid back of the girls – she is a quiet observer and the best sleeper. But always up for a game or a romp with her siblings once things get started.

Kris – he is the bolder of the two boys – very vocal about wanting snuggles and time to explore outside the puppy pen. He loves to be out with the family and is a shadow – always a little busy man.

Nick – he is a snuggly boy who is happy go lucky. He is always happy to play, or explore – whatever the others are doing, he is happy to do too. Just dont pin him down – not keen to stop if he is not in the mood yet.

Beagle puppies play in the sun

It was such a glorious day today, we decided to take the beagle puppies outside for some fun in the sunshine. They weren’t sure of the grass on their toes for about 10 seconds and then they loved it.

Phoenix is their favorite “big sister” and the feeling is mutual – any opportunity she can to play with them, she takes it. So, they all wrestled and enjoyed time in the sun today together. <3 We didnt want to risk the eagles today by giving them the run of the whole yard.
